These sounds are, of course, Freeware, because... Well, they are sounds for crissakes. If you wish to do something, then write nasty EMail to anyone who includes Readme documents in slow loading programs (MS Word), or programs most people don't have (MacWrite) despite the fact that EVERYONE has Simpletext. Or donate to the NEA. Or stop drinking Snapple. If you do these things, I might come back to America.
Well, I'm Dave, an American expatriate stage & film actor, writer, and teacher in Prague. I have a little Powerbook 150 with nothing but a Printer port, Modem port, and SCSI. No built-in mic, monitor options, or color. But then I bought the wonderful Connectix QuickCam™ and suddenly had "video" and audio input via the printer port. So these sounds might not be the best of audio perfection, but they are meant to be fun - not to admire bouncing between speakers, great clarity and all that crap.
This all came about because I live with a pyscho Czech girlfriend and use my computer to avoid communicating with her, so I surf a bit and download a lot. I wanted to give back something but have absolutely no time to learning programming. I just flirt with ResEdit a lot. So.... this is a gift. If you hate it then you wasted time downloading and you might get some satisfaction sending me some nasty Email.
* Anyways, here is Volume 2 of some sounds I made for no reason but to amuse people. My first reaction immediately after uploading Volume 1 was embarrassment... I wasn't sure if my humor was to be appreciated. However, after an overwhelming response and several suggestions. I'm back with a whole new set arranged BY CHARACTER. That's right, some of the old gang is back and are now named. Again I threw in some potential alerts. Hope you like Volume 2, personally, I think it's funnier. Due to the girlfriend situation, I am always jonesing for EMail. Please do. Let me know... uh, something.
And if you like, I have a special Docmaker file that keeps quarterly updates on my life for my friends. It's chock full of sounds (not mine, I just got this QuickCam™) and pictures and humor. If anyone is interested, you may surely have a copy (even if you just want to extract the Simpsons... oops, yes Simpsons sounds I have collected)

Version History:
Volume 1.0 - Initial release with some obnoxious background noise
1.1 - Cleaned up the noise levels during pauses
Got rid of headers and trailers that were nothing but noise and disk space
Added this Version History to the Readme document in wonderful old SimpleText.
Volume 2.0 - Named the characters and gave them folders.
Recorded at a higher sample rate to lessen noise levels. Then downsampled some.
Did a lot of thinking to make sure that Bob was funny since he was the overwhelming favorite.
Made sure there was a Mac user since he was a distant but safely positioned second.
